GREASE TECHNICIAN

We are offering an excellent career opportunity for a Permanent Full-time Grease Technician to join our team. The ideal applicant is mechanically inclined with an understanding and knowledge of heavy equipment, physically capable, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Thorough understanding of construction site safety practices is a must. A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract is required. Must be willing to work overtime, evenings, and weekends when needed.

Title:  Grease Technician
Location:  Edmonton, AB
Position Type:  Permanent Full-Time
Reporting To: Equipment Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Daily greasing of heavy equipment
  • Check/Replace oils, air & cab filters
  • Check/Replace grease lines & fittings
  • Supplying jobsites with required fluids
  • Retracting oil samples
  • Conducting equipment inspections
  • Assist heavy duty mechanics and other departments as required
  • Complete daily assigned paperwork
  • Maintain cleanliness in working areas
  • Follow all health and safety policies

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Mechanically inclined with and understanding and knowledge of heavy equipment

HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC

We are currently seeking to add a Permanent Full-time Heavy EDuty Mechanic to our team in the Edmonton area. Applicant must have their HET Certificate (2nd Year, 3rd Year, 4th Year, Journeyman), a valid Class 5 driving license with a clean driver’s abstract, and be able to supply their own tools. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and overtime when required. Air brakes ticket an asset.

Title:  Heavy Duty Mechanic

Position Type: Permanent Full Time
Reporting To: Shop Mechanic Supervisor

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Maintain and Repair equipment in a timely manner to provide proper functionality and availability. Including but not limited to: Excavators (80-1250), Bulldozers (D61-D375), Track Loaders (963-973), Graders (160H-16M), Motor Scrapers (627-657), Loaders (WA380), Rock Trucks (30 & 40 ton) Packers (110-836), Tractors, Light Plants
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment with the understanding and interpretation of schematics
  • Conduct performance and quality checks
  • Component rebuilds, overhauls, planned and unplanned maintenance
  • Follow direction from supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness in working areas
  • Follow health and safety policies

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Off Road experience
  • Must supply your own tools

We are currently seeking to add a Permanent Full-time Small Engine Mechanic to our team in the Edmonton area. Applicant must have experience diagnosing and repairing small gas and diesel engines, as well as electrical driven tools, supply their own tools, and have a valid Class 5 driving license with a clean driver’s abstract. Small engine course completion certificate is considered an asset. Applicant must be able to work evenings, weekends, and overtime when required.

Reporting To: Equipment Manager

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Inspect, test, and repair a wide variety of small mechanical equipment; including, but not limited to pumps, generators, saws, drills, plate tampers, jumping jacks, frost fighters, and light plants
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot
  • Perform schedule maintenance on small tools and equipment
  • Conduct performance and quality checks
  • Prepare written quotes/estimates including parts required
  • Follow direction from supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness in working areas
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Follow health and safety policies

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Small engine course completion certificate considered an asset
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing small gas and diesel engines, as well as electrical driven tools
  • Knowledge on a variety of equipment
  • Must supply your own tools
  • Posses excellent verbal and written communication skills

2ND YEAR WELDER APPRENTICE

We are currently seeking to add a 2nd Year Welder Apprentice to our team in the Edmonton area. Applicant will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in a timely manner, conducting thorough visual inspections and quality checks. A valid Class 5 license with a clean abstract is required. Applicant must be able to work evenings, weekends, and overtime when needed.

Reporting To: Welding Supervisor

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Maintain and Repair equipment in a timely manner to provide proper functionality and availability. Including but not limited to: Frame welding, ice lugging, excavator stick and boom repairs, cutting and welding pipe and casings to specs
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections to determine repairs required
  •  Conduct performance and quality checks
  • Operating mobile welding truck to designated repair jobsites/locations
  • Planned and unplanned maintenance
  • Follow direction from supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness in working areas
  • Follow health and safety policies

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid class 5 License with clean abstract

  • Physically capable

  • Self-motivated

  • Must supply your own tools

  •  2nd Year Welder Apprentice

  •  Previous experience with knowledge of welding of heavy equipment will be
    considered an asset

  •  Experience including, but not limited to: Stick and MIG- Air arc gauging and
    oxygen lancing considered an asset

  • Fabrication experience will be considered an asset

  • Ability and skill set to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to work individually or as part of a team

  • Ability to work in an indoor and outdoor setting

  • Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends
